– Coastal Community Foundation (CCF) ending sponsorship after BNC receives nonprofit status.

– Second Annual Community Event and Free Farmers Market at the Perry Webb Community Center in Accabee.

MARCH
– Partnership with Increasing Hope established, to assess home ownership readiness for potential home buyers for North Bridge Townhomes, to provide financial education and services to residents of Hub Village and Accabee.
– Pinnacle Bank, Premier and United selected as preferred lenders.

JANUARY
– Charleston County Council awards BNC a massive financial boost!
– $1.5 million American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Gap Funding Grant, will be used to bridge the gap between cost and affordability.
– Charleston County and South Carolina Community Loan Fund (SCCLF) are handling the administrative processing.

NOVEMBER

SEPTEMBER
– Proposing, to North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey, the gifting of residual Meridian land to the city in exchange for a pedestrian neighborhood, playground, and park development (maintained by the City of North Charleston).
– Meeting with Trident Technical College President, Mary Thornley, to discuss scholarship opportunities.
– Developing engineering and architectural plans.
– Selecting builder and completing floor plan designs.

JUNE
– Cultivating and nurturing deep relationships with the Concerned Citizens of Accabee (CCA) and Hub Village communities.
– Coastal Community Foundation (CCF) agrees to be fiscal sponsor until June 30, 2023!
– Glick/Boehm & Associates, Inc., an architectural, interior design and planning firm, volunteers to create the interior and structural designs of the North Bridge Townhomes PRO BONO!

APRIL
– Selecting Corwyn Melette, with Exit Realty Lowcountry Group, as the marketing realtor for North Bridge Townhomes.

MARCH
– Met with North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey and Shannon Praete requesting their help with Meridian land and sharing BNC’s vision. They seem excited!

FEBRUARY
– Creating affordable homeownership opportunities for 20 families.
– Seven acres of land with access off Meridian Road under contract, to build two-bedroom and three-bedroom townhomes, with down payment and closing costs assistance.

JANUARY
